Drinking Water System

In order to provide drinking water and fire supression system water for the Unity Complex, Sullivan County Facilities and Operations Department operates a Water System (System).  The System produces more than 10 million gallons annually and is comprised of:

  • 3 Drilled Wells
  • 2 Storage Tanks
  • 2 Fire Water Storage Ponds
  • 3.8 Miles of Water Mains
  • 36 Water Main Valves
  • 8 Hydrants

In 2019, Sullivan County developed an Asset Management Plan for the System paritally funded by a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES).  The County identified the vast majority of the water system to be in good condition with a total replacement value of just over $8 million dollars.
