Those pollinator plant mix seed packets don't pack themselves!  Each year District staff and volunteers collect ripe seeds from the perennial plants in our pollinator garden.  These seeds are overwintered properly so they can germinate.  In the spring, we get together and clean the fluff and other debris off the seeds, weigh them,  and place a mixture of them into seed packets that have been ordered through our spring plant sale.  Extra seed packets are given to local schools and sold on the day of the sale.  Contact the Conservation District if you would like to help out with this project!
