2005 DOC Awards and RecognitionJanuary 3, 2006 -- Unity, New Hampshire- Sullivan County Commissioners will present Department of Correction employees with awards and certificates as part of our yearly recognition program. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Sullivan County Commissioners meeting in Newport, NH. 2005 Employee of the Year - Officer Charles "Joe" Brookens was selected by his fellow employees to be recognized as our 2005 Employee of the Year. Officer Brookens began his employment with Sullivan County in March of 2004 and is currently the Assistant Team Leader of the newly formed Corrections Emergency Response Team or CERT. Officer Brookens was recently certified from the NHAC 68th Corrections Academy and was named honor graduate of his class. With over 20 years of service for the United States Navy, Officer Brookens continues to demonstrate leadership, dedication, and professionalism in his new career. Officer Brookens attitude and motivation is not only inspiring, it is a model for both staff and inmates alike. Promotion to Officer First Class - Each year two officers are selected after a day of written and oral examinations for promotion to Officer - First Class. These Officers will start training to become future supervisors, field training officers, and leaders within the organization. Officer First Class Christina Granger Officer First Class Matthew Lockhart 2005 Perfect Attendance - The following employees will be honored with perfect attendance for 2005:Lori Blake, Bryant Brown, Donna Chartier, Daniel Gokey, Christina Granger, Terry Hackett, Carol Lady, Sean Mellish, and Heather Murphy 2004 Longevity Award - This year the Department of Corrections previously recognized four Correctional Officers with a certificate of appreciation for their years of continuous service and dedication to the constituents of Sullivan County. Sergeant Mickey Michaels - 10 years of service Officer First Class Patrick Connors - 5 years of service Officer First Class Christina Granger - 5 years of service
