Staff Training and Development
In 2004, the Sullivan County Department of Corrections made
significant changes to the existing officer training program.
In 2006, the following goals were achieved:
- New Officers receive approximately 500 hours of training
within their first year.
- Each officer receives a minimum of 80 hours of training
per year.
- Annual Training needs assessment
- Annual Training Calendar consisting of a minimum of 80
hours of training:
