PANDEMIC FLU PREPAREDNESS

The Greater Sullivan County All Hazards Region Committee, under the facilitation of Sullivan County Manager, Ed Gil de Rubio, convenes monthly, the third Thursday of each month 9:30 AM in Newport NH at 14 Main Street.

The committee, which consists of approximately fourteen municipalities, two regional hospitals, three school districts and several private businesses meets to address how the region would respond with a major health crisis.  With the assistance of Hubbard Consulting LLC, the committee is currently working on a regional pandemic preparedness plan to primarily focus on the Avian Flu pandemic but which will have enough flexibility to be used as a template for other health issues.

Public communication and education plays a major role in the plan.  Included on these pages are lists of the different committees, links to pertinent websites, and informational brochures for families and businesses to help with emergency planning.
